Sacred Meditation Retreat

Living in a stressful world, many are seeking some form of Meditation to find relief and calmness. Others hope to experience the spiritual through the practices of meditation offered by various secular and religious groups.

In this retreat, we will explore the three forms of Christian Meditation (Head, Heart, Spirit) found in Scripture and our Christian heritage with a greater focus on Heart and Spirit Meditation that are less familiar to most of us.

Joyce Huggett: “We meditate to give God’s words the opportunity to penetrate, not just our minds, but our emotions – the places where we hurt – and our will – the place where we make our choices and decisions. We meditate to encounter the Living Word, Jesus Himself. We meditate so that every part of our being, our thoughts and our affections and our ambitions, are turned to face and honour and glorify Him.”

There will be daily prayer and meditation that provide the materials, spiritual exercises, and reflection questions to facilitate your encounter with God. One-to-one Spiritual Direction will also be available to accompany you in your retreat.
