RENEW & RESTORE
THE SACRED CHAOS AND DISCERNMENT GUIDED SILENT RETREAT
Date: 21-23 January 2022, Friday - Sunday
Location: Montfort Center (Catholic Retreat Center)
Renew & Restore
Guided Silent Day Retreat
I have set the Lord continually before me . . . Therefore, my heart is glad. Psalm 16:8-9
“Now that I am going back to the real world, how can I continue to connect with God in my busy, noisy, and stress-full day?” This is a common refrain at the end of the retreat from some retreatants.
The Sacred Chaos Retreat seeks to address and prepare you on how to experience the joy of hearing God, beckon through the noise and complications and bluster and stress and monotony of everyday life. To recognize his voice in the midst of long meetings, and for sleep-deprived parents to commune with him as they changed diapers or rock their babies or helped with their school work, for still others to sense God’s presence through the pressure of exams and datelines.
It is about redeeming the waking, walking routine, about sanctifying the ordinary, about living life itself as a formative spiritual practice.
In this retreat, we will explore the various means to cultivating an intimate relationship with God in the midst of daily challenges. There will be daily prayer and meditation that provide the materials, spiritual exercises, and reflection questions to facilitate your encounter with God. One-to-one Spiritual Direction will also be available to accompany you in your retreat. (Check out the One Path website to find out more about what is Spiritual Direction: https://one-path.com/services/spiritual-direction/).
DATE OF RETREAT: 21-23 January 2022, Friday - Sunday
Lunch will be included in the retreat
